Who may use the Law Library?

Answer

The Law Library is open to the public*, however, our primary mission is to serve the needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Miami School of Law.

Public patrons may use open library study spaces (not study rooms) and our print collection to conduct legal research. Items in our print collection can only be checked out by law school students, faculty, and staff, non-law UM graduate students, and non-law UM faculty.

The Law Library's copiers are also available for public use.**

Please note that during exam periods, Law Library use is restricted to Law School students, faculty, and staff only.

*Public patrons include all users who are not Law School students, faculty, or staff.

**Public patrons must obtain a UPrint Card from the Circulation Desk and add money onto the card to use copying services.
